RAB Lastibond

RAB Lastibond is an elastomeric, polymer modified hot bonding bitumen for roofing felts.

Lastibond is a technically improved flexible, hot bonding bitumen system.  When roofing felts are installed using the pour and roll method ensure you use RAB Lastibond to give you a much improved, flexible roofing system.

Being formulated from non-oxidised bitumen, Lastibond exhibits highly elastic adhesive qualities even at low temperatures.  It maintains it’s tenacious grip so you can confidently expect to improve the performance and anticipated life expectancy of your roof.  Even when laying normal B.S.747 felts it reduces stress at the glue line and thus reduces the felt stress.

Typical Uses:  By using elastomeric felts Lastibond will achieve:

  • a completely homogeneous elastomeric roofing system with increased ability to cope with thermal dynamic loading
  • improved Interply Adhesion and greater Weatherbility

This product is ideal for replacing, upgrading and retrofit.

Its enhanced ability to remain stable at normal climatic temperatures gives it a distinct improvement on Blown Bitumen products.

Lastibond can also be used for the bonding of approved insulation and protection boards, to timber, metal and asphalt surfaces.
